In addition to being a bad stay-at-home mom, I am also an insubordinate wife.

Husband: "I'm getting really tired of making up all these rules and having you not follow them."

(He makes up "rules" on the fly as an instant I-WIN conversation ender. For example: "I see you have the rhetorical edge here and clearly your argument makes more sense than mine, but you're not allowed to disagree with me because I'm the husband. THAT'S THE RULE." This isn't a direct quote, but it's a paraphrase of an interaction we've had thousands of times. Or hundreds. Okay, maybe tens of times. A lot of times, anyway. I don't know how many. It's not like it matters. Stop pressuring me!

Don't you like how most of my post here is a parenthetical?)

You know what the world needs? ANOTHER BLOG.

I read a lot of blogs. I've been blogging myself, intermittently, for the past 11 years, and my inability to stay in one place for an extended period of time has left a trail of abandoned blogs in its wake. This here's the newest.

This blog is born of my Facebook addiction (Hey, it's as good a reason as any to start a blog. Don't judge me!). I often find myself wanting to make too-frequent updates, or updates that are too long or too offensive or appeal to only a small subsection of my friends list, and at some point I finally realized I needed to start a blog to hold all the pithy brain-nuggets that are too much for Facebook to handle. So here you go. Whoever "you" are. Hopefully you don't know me in real life, because I'm much less funny there.
